My friend (he is pretty awesome) just came out as being gay and people at his school have been horrible to him!

I didnt know people could be quite so mean. Omg. :'(

It makes me upset and angry. He has got called horrible names and he has been beaten up. Its hardly a crime.

I feel so sorry for him, i dont know what to say or do to make it better. My only hope is that he will be at the same sixth form as me next year and if anyone treats him like shit i will give them a piece of my mind.

People can be so horrible.

That is really awful... You really need to be by his side now, so that he knows he has someone he can trust.

Yeah, I'm here for him. He knows that. But I just can't believe it, he is a lovely person and I dont understand why people can't accept that some people are attracted to their own sex.

Unfortunately this is the world we live in. There is prejudice where and when you least expect it. I hope that he continues being the way he was before he came out, which is a good person, from what you're telling me.

Alot of people are like that :/
I know in my school theres only one guy out and people are very mean to him, but remember its only now u dont get to choose who your around, eventual you get to choose the people you live with and see everyday and he will be able to space himself from all the hate, and life will be much better :)
