Sit down and talk to her about it, MAKE SURE you do this in public, she is less likely to cry (sorry I have to be so underhanded, this isn't my first rodeo with this subject.) But explain it to her in a nice low town.

Tell her that you don't feel the same way she does. Tell her the truth.

tbh, she will get hurt when you tell her the truth. But that's the only way she'll ever know. Not telling her how you really feel is just like lying to her. And that's even worse.

And tell her personally. Not through the phone or email or whatever. That way, she'll really see you're being honest with her and accept the way you feel more easily.

i would say, dont beat around the bush. just tell her straight up.. because if you try and spare her feelings she might take it the wrong way and continue acting the way she does.

Be blunt, not not insulting or overly patronising (not really the right word... but you know what I mean). She should appreciate your honesty if you go about it in the right way and just put it out there nice and openly. If she doesn't accept it then it's not on your hands any more because you tried.
