I just wanted to know the average heal rate of most people.

Light cuts usually heal in about a week, at the most two. Deep ones heal but will leave scars. It all depends on what you used and how deep. If you need to know about a cut you made, then let me know and I can help.

Basically every cut will leave a scar, some big some barely noticable. But if you break the skin, it will most likely scar. And yea Jessika already explained the healing rates.

i have some from last year that are still huge scars, but most of mine are just little scars in 3-4 weeks...in other words all of mine scar..so they dont really "heal" ever..some just fade after time

It usually takes a few weeks before the wound is closed, all the crust is gone and there's basically just the scar.. I can't really seem to think of just how many weeks, though. I used to recut all the time before but I've totally quit that so. I have one scar now that's just totally closed and all crust gone and such, problem is.. I can't remember exactly when I did it. I have no sense of time. But fear not, I will find out. Last time I cut was about a week ago, and I will keep an eye on it to see when that's closed.

Heal-as in a scar turn completely white, or just until it becomes a scar?

For me, it takes about 2 weeks for it to close up and everything. But for a scar turning white, I have two still pinkish raised scars and I haven't cut in 5 months. So yeah..it takes a while.

Scars turning white takes ages.. The ones I have from like three years ago are white now, so you can draw the conclusion that they must've turned white somewhere along the way, but I remember them being purple for a loong time. I think it really depends on the level of whatnots in your body too, though. I fail to remember what they're called, I'll look it up..

Yes, apparently depends on the level of "melanocyte-stimulating hormone produced by the intermediate pituitary gland"

i'm not real sure of the average, but i heal really slow my mom says it's because of the whole not eatting thing.

when i used to cut, mine would take at least three or four days to clear but i heal faster than most people it sounds like.
the longest i think it took me was two weeks and those ones were pretty deep and i blacked out for a couple minutes afterwards.
it all depends on depth.

I used to pick the scabs to prevent it healing so I could have some of mine for over a month before I let it heal.

Mk it's closed up, crust gone, and just a scar now. So it took pretty much exactly three weeks with proper taping closed and taking care of. I would try with no taping for the comparison, but I really can't be bothered to have worse scars in the name of science:rolleyes:. Since this is the only cut I've actually counted days on I have no idea just how representative it is but it sounds pretty right compared to the rest of you so I'm guessing that's round about what it normally takes me.
