Alright here is the low down on my situation, I am 17 years old plus 6 months and male. My older sister is 26 and her friend is also 26. Sisters friend Mary (fake name) wants to have sex with me, she's babysat me from age 6 to 12 (local law says need a babysitter until aged 12 or else you can lose your kids) and she's seen me naked growing up and she's been coming onto me.

cutting to the chase what should I do? is 9 yrs an important age difference? I want to do it and so does she, i'm just asking if it's "morally" right with you guys?

My philosophy, is that age doesn't matter, as long as the youngest is at least 16 and that the age gap isn't too big that it's pedophile-ish. You're 17. She's 9 years older. I think that would be fine, but be safe ;) But just remember, the law! It's not like anyone will rat you out, but you never know. I think its the whole US or just here in CA, but I know that there was or still is a law that states it can be considered rape even if the minor agreed to have sex. Can't be too sure though.

I'd be a hypocrite if I said not to do it. But do take into consideration that you could do some serious damage to her criminal record if you did so. Even if it's consensual, if you guys get caught, she gets in some serious trouble and put on the sexual predator list permanently.

But on the other side of it, it is slightly creepy that she is interested in you and she babysat you. o.O That doesn't feel quite right.

sorry everyone, I forgot to mention that I'm from Alberta, Canada and here statutory is 16 (all of canada), and by protection you mean condom? she had her tubes tied while ago so it should be all good.

It matters. Are you looking for a relationship or just sex? Nine years can be a difficult hurdle. A lot of relationships like that don't work out just because you're just so different. The younger you are, the more prominent that gap is. My parents are eight years apart, for example, but it works well for them, and that age gap is more trivial than 17 and 26. Of course, you could be even more mature than her, but typically, girls are more mature than guys, and in this situation, that could be largely increased. That's why it's usually girls dating older guys, so they can find someone that matches their maturity better. But this aspect may not even apply to you.

Having her tubes tied will not protect you from any STDs that she may or may not have, so you should still wear a condom.

With regards to the age gap, if both parties are over the age of consent then I would say it's fine. It also seems that as you get older the age gap starts to mean less and less because you're more mature.
