On a CRT? Forever.
Those things can hold a charge literatly forever.
I personally wouldn't go near the inside of one of those.

And LCD is pretty much fine the second it's unplugged from any power source. You may get a small shock, but nothing serious.

i've taken apart a crt. you have to leave it unplugged for about two days. then it should be safe.
otherwise, leave it for 2 weeks to be sure.
