So, we are going over our Poetry unit in Language Arts, and I wrote this poem (it's a list poem, so not very exciting) because I thought it would be nice after Chicago's biggest snow storm ever.
Please share comments and suggestions, because I need all the help I can get. :P
Things To Do If You Are the Snow
Gracefully descend from the heavens
Blanket the earth
Put a smile on a child’s face
Pain eyelashes white
Give everyone a snow day
Something to think of for a long time
Make drifts like the ocean does waves
Glisten in the sun
Bring joy on Christmas morning
Be brushed into angels on the ground
Coat the hills for sledding down
Steal the show with sparkling hands
Then take a bow and melt away
To come another year
To come another day.
