So I don't see the guy I really like regularly. In fact I'm not sure when I'll see him next :( probably in a month or so. How can I stay on his mind? He doesn't text a lot during the school year 'cause his phone is on silent, but he said he texts better during the summer. I hate texting first but last time I saw him we were hugging goodbye and I said, "You better text me" and he says "You better text ME!!". Do I text him first? If so what do I say?

Well you said he doesn't text a lot, so I guess you should make the first move this time. Text him and say something like "I miss you" or just asking how are things going, something to show him you care about him. :)

Thanks Contra(: and boys don't mind if a girl texts first? I've heard and read a lot of things that say that a girl should never text a guy first. That sounded silly to me, but I don't want to come across as desperate or clingy.

Should I wait until he gets out of school to text him?

It may be the better idea to wait so you would get a better chance of an immediate reply
Do you need to ask anything else?

Yeah, just one more thing. Is there some really good convo starter that guys like? I mean I could start with "I miss you" but I'll only have not seen him in a bout two weeks. Is there something else I could say? Thanks so much!(:

Normally its just "Hows your day going" or "whatcha doin" guys like when they can talk about their day or what they accomplished or even their problems. Most guys will but they wont admit it to their guy friends
Edit/Afterthought: You might need to coax him if he's had a bad day or isnt used to talking about it

Whenever I text my boyfriend, and it's the beginning of the conversation, I always start out with something fun and playful. A lot of the time it ends up being a pick up line, because we both find those hilarious.

I feel awkward sometimes texting guys first, but you just have to get through it, and do it.

I haven't really heard of it, but I'm still a bit green in this relationships things, I just really want to be helpful...
I think it shows you care enough to text him, and you said on some other post you haven't seen each other in two weeks, that is quite a bit especially if before that you saw each other every day.

And how can I tell if he's getting annoyed with me? I have a very bad habit of over analyzing stuff and he just replied to a comment I made on his facebook check in. He said "I'm at the one in (enter location name here) Torry k". He misspelled my name and he ended with "k", why?? I know I'm over analyzing this, but I can't help it :(

Well, through your phone isn't very easy to determine whether he's annoyed or not. Just don't text him too much.
And about that comment, perhaps he was on his phone and wanted to write things shorter, and your name may have been just a mistake. Don't over analyze it, or else you'll start troubles where they don't exist.
When is he coming back?

Oh he didn't leave. We do community theatre together which means sometimes I'll see him everyday for 2 months straight, but then after a show is over I don't know when I'll see him next. He doesn't live too far away, but its still a pretty long drive. I live 15 min. from the theatre, he lives 45-55 min. away. We got really close these past, oh I don't know, 6 months? We were in 3 shows together that were back to back to back.

Whoops, sorry, my mistake.
Well, then you should do what I said on the other post.

Good luck :)

nah guys love if a girl texts first. it shows some interest in them and its really tedious for a guy to constantly have to start a conversation.

Here's a good way to stay on hs mind:

If he likes you, trust me, you'll be on his mind no matter what you do.

Also, are there any good ways to keep a conversation going? Like things to say that stir his interest? You guys are really helpful(:

Sorry, but we don't really know him, if we did it would be better to suggest topics. But "Summer's almost coming up. We should meet." seems like a good thing. ;)
