What do you think will be the main future fuel,be it alternative or the oll fossil fuel.Explain why you think it will be.Also do you think we could do better?

I personally think we should be using solar cell energy and bio fuels, that is just me.I think we should stop our use of fossil fuels,as they will run out fast at this rate in my opinion. Now that being said I don't think we'll just switch over night,I think they'll start intergrading the two slowly switching.Using half and half.I was reading some pretty cool generators like the sterling engine.

You should consider a couple of stuff:

Solar Panels, Windmills and Hydrostations do make electricity, but they are an unreliable form of energy. Because the cost of building any of them is very high, and requires a lot of space and they do not make as much as electricity as we want. And it will take time to build all this, and then it won't be of use.
Plus, each region differs; some have ample of shun shine, but doesn't have wind and or water and vice versa.

It's same with Biofuels. Biofuels requires energy and resources and vast amount of space. Let's take veggies for example, they require minerals and a good soil, after a good sum of years, the earth will stop yielding crops - bringing in sand instead.

If we stop using fossil fuel now, everything will stop because Electricity is produced by burning coal and other fuels.

Nuclear is a reliable source with a lasting period, but damage to environment is even worst with nuclear energy.

What I suggest is that you people should stop using appliances that sucks in too much energy more often. Use neon bulbs. Use those devices that control how much electricity is consumed. And maybe, maybe you can reduce the damage to environment and enjoy the high-tech life at the same time.

I agree on the nuclear energy. It's very efficient.I read a lot nuclear problems were due do non standard operations of plants(Chernobyl) and workers who didn't know what they were doing exactly(Three Mile Island).I'm not sure if these are true reasons for the accidents.I was also reading the waste would be a lot less if we used Thorium vs Uranium. It's way more cleaner and powerful then Uranium. You can't make a good missile like you can with Uranium, which would explain a lot xD!Thorium just sounds way better and a cleaner alternative fuel then Uranium.

I agree too. We've switched almost all lights to Compact Florescent and LED's in our house.

We should perfect teleportation technology and use whatever fuel that needs (the best we've done is teleport a particle across a room).

An invistation in a nuclear plant with thorium as the source of energy, we can have a good 500 year of non-stop electricity(until our descendants learn some other methods.

my friend told me about that. It's really cool.I wonder though ,like on some movies if you teleported with another person or thing would you be conjoined with itxD?Could have half your body end up God knows where?

Hydrogen. At least for cars. The byproduct is water.
The downside of hydrogen fuel is how flammable it is and how to safely store it.

http://www.google.com/search?client=opera&rls=en&q=new+yourk+times+teleportation&sourceid=opera&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&channel=suggestI don't want to destroy your fantasy, those teleportation aren't meant to teleport us and other big object from one place to another, but an attempt to realise a new generations of computer that has better communication in between them - unlike today's electronic/digital communication that uses electromagnetic waves which are again translated to electronic signals - those will be direct atom to atom interactions.

Hydrogen. At least for cars. The byproduct is water.
The downside of hydrogen fuel is how flammable it is and how to safely store it.Now that you have reminded me, it can be used as a total alternative. But here is the problem - the transition from electrical and f.fuel to complete hydrogen cars will cost more than a trillion - it's a big project. Plus, the metal(Palladium) that's used to catalyse Hydrogen(the energy is then made to electricity) to hydrogen and oxygen is kind of rare - used only and mostly in manufacturing factories; furthermore, the making of Hydrogen it's self is expensive. That's why sending out just satellites costs Billions.

We not also have to think about how safe to environment or to us, it has to be also cost efficient - we are not living in a world were everything is free, my dear.

In my state, at the moment, we are using Hydro electricity and wind, but I dont know how efficient, or how long we are going to have it for.

Allege farms making biofuel
solar power takes to much money.l.l.l.l.

I wish the nuclear industry would get there heads out of there @$$ and start using thorium. It would create so much energy AND it would be a whole lot cleaner.Maybe I could start a nuclear power plant using thorium....when I'm older.
