Thats a nice pic! Took me a while to figure out why the background was black.

Its of some leaves and the background is black. Good composition though and nice color contrast choosing. Maybe next time for a more interesting photo, try different light, light to the side or something instead of full force flash.

I still don't get how the black background was made but it is a splendid touch. The one part of the flower is a bit bare, but I blame that on the flower not you :P

Joe1, it was at dusk that I took the pic and the flash created a really strong contrast, so the camera really didn't recognize the background at all; that's what I like about using the really direct flash In this kinda situation
