Context of the video would be nice, you know.
Any video or picture that happens to catch the absolute worst part of a police officer 'taking down' a criminal always makes them look bad and horrible.
I mean, for all we know, he could have STOLEN that ($1000+) wheelchair.
That said, the force they used DID seem to be a tad excessive. But the video did happen to start right as they were pulling him out of the chair.
He could have been resisting arrest for an hour.

That did seem pretty over the top. Police are sometimes unbelievably brutal, but abuse of power is pretty common, especially with police.
Then again, we don't know what this guy did. He could have stolen something. He could have been resisting arrest for ages. We don't know anything about it.
A person can't not be arrested because they're disabled.

What the hell?!?!?!?!? This so pisses me off!!!! Those heartless dumbasses! Why couldn't they just hold his wheelchair to a stop? It's not like he was gonna get up and run off!!! They bashed his head on concrete making him bleed, and they ripped him out of his wheelchair to the pavement! UGH!!! This is power abuse, and they deserve to be fired, and put behind bars! I hope they do now that this video is viral. Facepalm, you fuckers.
@Aoife- Yeah, agreed. But did they have to do it so cruelly? That deserves some prison time.

Any video or picture that happens to catch the absolute worst part of a police officer 'taking down' a criminal always makes them look bad and horrible.Yes, cops are bad and horrible. Policeman has to be strict and brisk, because criminals gives no regard to their own safety, let alone Policemen's.
Criminals of that standard(stealing) are considered dangerous, and potentially armed. Relentlessly beating the perpetrator is a method to subdue a criminal into a submission.

I agree who could've done many things, but I still don't see the reason for being so brutal unless he killed someone, even the people next to him were saying what the police officers did was stuipid. He didn't really seem like a threat btw.
