Hello, my name is Azacca I am 18 years old and I am of Haitian descent going to school in the U.S. I was visiting my parents and I was caught masturbating to a picture of a male haitian celebrity.

Anyway, while I was in the act my father walked in and saw that the picture was of a man. My father and mother grew up in Haiti and have strong Christian backrounds and have disowned me. This is a shame upon my family and if it weren't for the laws in the United States protecting me I would have been beaten near to death with sticks by the parents that have raised me. They have cut off all contact with me and refuse to take my phone calls. I have often thought of repenting for shaming my family and going back to Haiti for a cleansing ritual which involves living in the jungle for at least two years on my own. I do not know what to do and I currently have no place to live, I am staying at a friend's house for now but I have no job and no money and I think I am starting to have emotions for my friend. He is a beautiful black man with a kind heart but I do not know if he is into men. Please help me my friends.

Going back to Haiti sounds dangerous. Honestly I say, depending on how old you are, look for a job and try to see if your friend's family doesn't mind keeping you. With the job you can pay for things you'd need (almost a rent of sorts), while having a roof over your head. I hope everything works out!

Say that you did go back to haiti and lived in the jungle for 2 years. Your sexuality will remain the same. From your excellent english skills I'm assuming that you've lived in the US for most, if not all of your life.

Going to the jungle will do nothing for your current situation, all it will do is waste two years of your life when you could be working or going to school.

Move on, make sure they know how to contact you if they want to. It sounds as if the only thing that may change their mind is time and reflection. Maybe you could contact them through someone else.
