Hello all
this isnt a thread for my benefit more for a friend

Down to business
My mate has been kicked out, hes been allowed back in and was going to join the RAF but his mum needed to sign him up but she refused to do so, and has also set him some stupid rules where if he breaks them hes straight back out again

If he is techincally not living with her, is there a loophole where he can
A) not have to live under her care
B) be able to join the RAF at 16 without having a carer sign it
C) not have his mother be required to sign him up?

Im in England
if you are not and dont know a way that it would work in england then dont bother answering since i only care about things that would actually work

Im not sure about the RAF Calum, but i know if you're 16 or over and can prove you have somewhere suitable and safe to live you can move out without your parents permission.

I don't think there is, because obviously there's the whole risk of dying in the forces...

Hmm i'll try and ask my dad, although he'll probably think that it's what i'm planning to do then ¬¬

If his parents have kicked him out for good he could go into the care of the local authority. They may or may not allow him to join the armed forces although, to be honest, I wouldn't bank on it.

His best bet is probably just to bear it for two more years and join up at 18. It sucks, but it might be this guys' only option.

Interesting legal point, though.

No, there isn't a loophole around it. He'll need a parent or guardian to sign until he turns 18.
