So I was recently told that I am getting "cottage cheese" on the back of my thighs right under my butt. I looked in the mirror, and I don't see it. But now I feel extremely self conscious and I have barely eaten anything since. I am 5'3" and 103 pounds, fairly skinny for my height, and I've never gotten a bad comment on my body.
I don't want to deprive myself of food just because of one comment, but I feel like I have to now with my FEAR of gaining weight.
What do I do!?

don't let one comment get ya down...... you are what u think u are not what others tell you.... just have faith in yourself and positve self esteem and u will go far. if u feel overweight u don;t have to stop eating. eat in moderation, eat more greens, work out more and with that comes more positive self esteem

Hey Love, The reason you posted is because you want help and are self conscious, not because you want an eating disorder, trust me. You are a good weight, perfect in fact for you. Because no one will ever be like you. You are so special and different because you seek advice and want help. That makes you really beautiful. Being able to talk. And one more thing, cottage cheese thighs? people that tease are the ones with the issues they tease about. :) if you cant see it you don't have it. :) Stay beautiful.

There will always be people trying to bring you down. At that weight and height your BMI is 18.2. That's a perfect weight. It's on the low side of perfect. The person who told you that is probably just jealous more than anything.
As hard as it may be just try and ignore that comment. Depriving yourself of food is not healthy, and it doesn't just effect your physical health but your mental health too. In the long run you just end up gaining more weight anyway. I started out at 108lb. Lost weight to 95lb, and when I regained it went up to 111lb.
You're weight is perfect the way it is, keep it that way.

It is really hard to let a comment like that go.
I skipped Sunday breakfast this morning for a little bowl of Special K cereal. I was hungry, so I figured if I was gonna eat, I'd eat small.
And I just got back from running. . . It's 93 degrees :/
But, I understand the whole thing about "not eating is unhealthy" ^^ so I think I'll just cancel out some of the junk food and start exercising more!
I don't eat much junk food, but it wouldn't hurt to take it away a little more.
Thanks for the support you guyss (:

So..."cottage cheese" runs in my family and apparently it can be hereditary, wooh! Anyway, my mom said that if you do exercises that work out the back of you leg like running then you'll be fine. I'm going to start running every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. You don't have to stop eating to prevent something like that. Really, it's not about how you look, but your health. A little bit of cottage cheese isn't going to do any harm.

Probably referring to the look of fat in some areas, some people have a sort of unevenness. I want to call it cellulite but I'm not sure if that is exactly what is being discussed.

Wtf do people make up stupid names like "cottage cheese". Anyways, cellulite isn't necessarily caused by a bad diet, lack of exercise or being overweight. Lymph nodes and the female hormones progesterone and estrogen are big causes for cellulite which can be hard to prevent no matter what shape or size you are.
There are very skinny people with lots of cellulite (I've seen so many tiny celebrities with cellulite) and some bigger people with none. It's all to do with the blood flow, toxins and weak veins in the body which could be there for a whole manner of reasons. It's really something that's ridiculous to stress about unless you look like a lumpy toad. Just watch your intake of processed foods, drink water and exercise and therefore you can limit the amount of cellulite.
