Twins

Hey,
I am fairly new here but I noticed from reading a bunch of posts that there are a lot of twins on here. I am an identical twin and the percentage of twins on VT that are gay/bi/curious seems to be much higher than the percent of people in the world who are actually twins. So I know this might seem a bit stupid but basically, is someone who is a twin more likely to be gay/bi/curious? My brother is straight but I know another twin and he is gay.

Ok so i'm a twin but not an identical twin so this may not count or whatever. And both m and my brother are straight. But i know a lot of sets of twins, (a wierd amount really) and none of them are gay or bi. I really don't think that the fact that you are a twin has anything to do with your sexual orientation. I could well be wrong i don't pretend to have read up on the subject but just from what i know from life, i highly doubt it does.

Well...think about it this way. VT is for people who need advice on things like their sexuality, self harm, etc. So...a good percentage of the people on VT are gonna be gay/bi/curious. And...some of them are going to be twins. Facts put together...there is probably no correalation between twins, and whether they are gay/bi/curious. Hope I helped.

Twins can have different orientations from each other. I think there's a statistic that says if one's gay than it's more likely the other one is too, but honestly unless a statistic says that 100% of people are something, there are always exceptions.

But yea, twins has nothing to do with curiosity xD It's a teenage thing.

I dont get this, me and my brother are identical twins and have been on VT for a while, we are friends with some other twins on here and theres no big number that are bi/gay. Anyway, I dont think the fact that you are born as a twin increases the likelihood of being bi/gay. I dont think curiosity counts as a sexuality; to the OP you say in your sig that your curious and you say your twin is straight, how do you know he would not indicate the same curiousity if he signed up for VT? Just a thought.

Me and my brother are fraternal twins and we are both straight I do believe, my brother hasn't had a girl friend before but hasn't mentioned being gay before.

I don't think it's more likely for twins to be gay. I think there sometimes is a relationship between both twins' sexuality however. Not always, but I know two sets of twins in real life, more that I don't actually know but I know of, but one set are both very straight, and the other set of twins, they're both gay. I'm on the fence about whether sexuality is in DNA or not (no, I don't think you choose it either, I just think of attraction to the same or opposite sex as another thing you can be attracted to, like muscular frames and blond hair, that sort of thing. And my attraction to red hair on girls, for instance, is a result of my opinions and personality, not my genes) but I think it is something to be looked into.
