If I wanted to transfer video from my xbox to my computer, like the black ops and other game vids on YouTube, how would I do it?

Through a capture card device such as a Dazzle DVD recorder.

I use one and it gets the job done.

Could I do it with just a USB cord?

No because there's nothing to capture video.

My Dazzle cost me about $50 US.
Though it came with Pinnacle studio for free which is nice.

Which is an annoying editing program, lol.

I've never had any problem with it.

I've never had any problem with it.

It's annoying for me since I'm use to Premiere.

I use a Dazzle DVC 100. If you decide to get a Dazzle, you will also need to get 3 AV splitters (Splits one male jack into two females), and an av extension (2 male ends for the three AV jacks). You'll hook your three AV splitters into the Dazzle AV Jacks and plug the Xbox AVs into the proper splitter inputs. run the AV extention from the other side of the splitters to your TV. plug the Dazzle into your computer (USB), download Pinacle studio 14 and you're good to go.

Unless his television has an A/V in and A/V out port.
