Well if it really is just out of boredom it should be pretty easy for you to stop? And I suggest you do this before you become addicted. You may already be addicted.
The obvious answer is find something else that entertains you. Anything.
I think most people eat when they are bored, as long as you're not really overeating I wouldn't worry about it.

find a new hobby, reading, writing, playing video games anything else
cutting is a terrible thing to get into. eating you can easily overcome.... but once u start cutting it is hard to stop and becomes a regular addiction that you need to feed.

Ehh, not quite. He's got two large issues on his hands. Binge eating is not easy to get over. I go to a general ED support group every Sunday, and I've seen that it takes a lot more than just stopping to get over it.
But like everyone else said, find a hobby or activity that can replace self-harm. Video games are good. They can get addictive using them as an alternative, but it's better than self-harm I find. My usual suggestion is taking a walk or exercising though. It's great for the mind, distracting, and releases endorphins just like self-harm does.

i do this sometimes. Just this morning, i was putting dishes away. I picked up some sharp fork type of thing and scraped it across my arm. I think i do it 4 attention cuz its hard for me to accept my friends care about me, but when they see the cuts, they hug me and tell me to stop, That shows they care. Also, I've always felt like a wimp so cutting makes me feel tough and more like a man.

Ugh. I'm suffering terribly from binge eating. There is not a day that I do not eat massive amounts. So I understand. Cutting out of boredom... Now that I have honestly never heard of.
What do you like to do? Do it. Hide the blades. Put them in places you can't easily access.

People, hurting yourself just isn't smart. There is so much to do out there that you will never be able to do everything in a lifetime. I can be a vitch, I'm sorry, but there are better things to do when bored.

Some people can't control it, so don't hate.
I haven't cut, but if it is just out of put boredom, then there should be something else you can do, no?

You're not the only one to do this, Pim. I used to a lot. I had been cutting so much while upset and stressed that I just started cutting when I had nothing else to do. Obviously it's not a good thing to be doing.
Also, @Shaun, that's not helpful at all. My cutting out of "boredom" spawned from addiction. I just did it 'cause it was something I was so used to doing that it just seemed like the right thing to do when I had nothing else to do.
