I'm going to start at a community college this fall semester. I have my classes chosen and all, but I haven't chosen a major, I can't decide what I want to do. Nothing intruiges me, because it's all the same.
I'm good at English, so I might go for an English major, but I just wish I knew what direction to go. It'd be cool to be an engineer or something, but my math skills are mediocr at best so that's out of the question. Advice?

Stay undecided for this semester, hell, this year, and take exploritoy classes. Find something you do like.
Also, much of the engineering classes I've taken require at most gemoetry and algebra skills. Mediocer math skills above that level aren't as much of a hinderance than youd think

See, my problem is that the last math class I took was Algebra 1. My college doesn't offer Geometry as a class and I'm going to be taking Algebra 2 these next two semesters.
And, an auto body technician would be pretty cool, my life basically revolves around cars. I don't know why I never thought of anything like that.

How old are you? It seems odd you didn't get offered a geometry. My school it was algebra 1 or geometry(depending on your level) freshman year, and only went up from there. I'm a junior in precalc.

ShatteredWings, I'm almost eighteen. College, not high school.

Huh, your school has an odd math program then. community will be good for you then. Take the basic classes, make sure they transfer most major universities (check with an advisor), see what youre doing well in and like.

Community college where I live is mostly used to find out where you're going from there. Personally, I already have my major/minor selected, so I wouldn't be going to a community college, but I've had multiple friends go. :)
