So my Sony Ericsson broke and I bought this old thing off Amazon for £20. I'm having a few problems:

1. Every time I switch it off, all my texts get deleted.

2. I can't use the internet, it just says "failure to connect" or something.

3. Sometimes it rings, other times it just vibrates. I honestly have no idea why.

It might have something to do with it being unlocked. I'm on Orange but all of the phone's branding is for AT&T, a network we don't even have in my country. I'm guessing it originally comes from America.

Any ideas, guys?

EDIT: Oh, and I can't delete address book entires, text messages or alarm clock entries but I think this is just me missing something. :P

I had a V3i and that was pretty temperamental. Nothing I could do to fix it. So I replaced it

my dad used to have one of those phones, so i asked him if he knew what might be wrong with yours.
heres what he said:

1. Every time I switch it off, all my texts get deleted.
does it happen if you reboot the phone, or only if its been off for a while?

2. I can't use the internet, it just says "failure to connect" or something.
sounds like the internet settings havent been configured properly. check with your phone company for the right ones.

3. Sometimes it rings, other times it just vibrates. I honestly have no idea why.
my dad had the same trouble. never found out why it did that. just learned to live with it

hope this helps at least a little :)

Yeah, it's every time I switch it off. I think it might be wiping them to save space. Will have a fiddle with the internet options later. Thanks! :)
