I made this for my band's profile picture on Facebook, and I really want some critiques.

Yeah. I made the stars and the nebula. It's not that hard. :P

Overall. :P I'm really curious as to what you think about my stars being blue and pink purple. Because I'm just not sure if it works.

Overall,

The central "aurora" effect doesn't blend well with the piece itself. You attempted to fade it out on the edges, but it still looks too choppy. It's actually distracting.
As for the text, it's too small. For a band image, the text should be large. The focus is the band, not the image.
For the colors of the stars, I love them; however, colored stars represent galaxies (and larger class stars) and should be used sparingly in comparison to white, which should be used as a majority.

What would you suggest I do for the aura? The layers with layer masks that have colored clouds are what I used to make it. And the stars, I don't think it'd be possible, for me at least.

The name should be a little bigger with more boldness but not too much and if it was me I would add a greenish tint to the aurora thing.

I Love it! What you should do is instead put the whole name in th e middle in bigger letters.

its a little big for a logo. i'd crop it so it's maybe like just the focal point of the nebula with the name in front really popping

^Yeah, maybe make the words more centered so it doesn't look to bare. Not necessarily add stuff, or its overwhelmed.

Just in case anyone is curious, this is the final product, though we don't use it anymore. And the reason I don't have the type in the center is because it'd be too bright. The nebula's aura would give it color, as well with my outerglow.

Catharsis is my favorite one that we have done. But since you liked it on facebook, don't say anything about where you found us and whatnot. I'd appreciate it if you didn't mention VT at all.
