Okay, so basically my mother won't allow me to use tampons. Her defense when u ask her why 'because I'm your mother and what I say goes' bullshit -_-

Is there anyway to Try to convince her to let me use tampons?
Pads start smelling and make me smell like shit, and my period is
Always heavy, I just want more coverage. Do you guys have any tips for me? :) ;$

Or youc could just not tell her? If she won't listen or understand thenjust bypass her in the decision?

Stores allow you to buy them on your own. They are pretty cheap so go for it. It's your body, nothing to be ashamed about. :)

>:O i found tampons in your bathroom! You are grounded for 267 months for absorbing menstrual blood! You should be ashamed of yourself.

Omg don't worry about her! I would use tampons regardless.. Just use em without her knowing and oh well if she finds out, not like she can stop you from using them haha

My mom didn't let me use them for about 2 years after I got my first period.
But I started to play tennis my 8th grade year and told her that I wanted to use them for sports. I didn't really ask, I just kinda went in her bathroom and took one.
I'm aware that you don't have that kind of excuse, but what you said in your post ^^ sounds like a good enough reason for her to let you.
& I know how you feel about the pads and stuff. They used to make me feel gross :/
Tampons are much more clean, but not too comfortable at first.
Just let your mom know how you feel about it, and if she still doesn't allow you to wear them, do what they^ said. Buy some on your own secretively, or get a friend to get some for you and just hide them.
It's your own body and you should do what makes you comfortable (:

Have you told her the actual reason why you want to use them?

I think you should just use them regardless of what she says. Your allowed to but them on your own, so just tell her thats what your doing.

She definitely cannot stop you from using tampons. Just tell her what you told us, and if she still won't let you use them just buy some from the nearby stores. They're cheap enough and if you really want to use them, there's no good reason not to. :)

I agree with everyone here. Your mom doesn't know what's right for your body, you do. sneak it, bar it yourself, use a friends, whatever you need to to to get the job done. I bled heavy to so I constantly change pads, once every hour or so. I could see why you want to use tampons

I don't think you have to do all of that. Just use a pad like your mom tells you to and eventually she might let you put in a tampon... Sneaking them in all the time sounds like such a hassle.

You can always explain to her why you won't to use them, like you did here. But honestly, even if she does say no, you can buy tampons on your own and then just hide them if she is really crazy about you not using them. I see absolutely no problem with tampons( unless you keep them in waaaay too long--then there is the risk of TSS, Toxic Shock Syndrome, but that isn't too common.)
