Well if it is just "pouring out" then you may have nicked the artery. And I would advise that you dont cut that.

Cuts usually dont fade too quick especially if you pick at them. Also depending on the person they can scar even if its not that bad. I had some that weren't bad at all that scarred pretty noticably.

It really depends on what you did them with.

When I used to cut with sewing scissors, the cuts would be gone in about a week. When I did them with pocket knives, they wouldnt go away for a while, and about four of them are still here, purple scars. And when I use an exacto knife blade, the cuts are there for a very long time, but they dont leave scars.

It mostly depends on what you use, and how deep.

I did them with a kitchen knife and i'm putting healing cream on the cuts to speed up the process, the one with the opening is the deepest and the blood came out like a big leak in my wrist and I don't pick at them either.

I think knifes in general scar because weeping willow said Pocket Knife and I used a switchblade knife which also scarred but mine are more white not purple but most healing cream prevents scars so keep doing what your doing:thumbsup:

People shouldn't do self harm. They just shouldn't. It deeply saddens me when people do this. Anyway, about the pictures...

this is going to come off really hippocritical because i did this one to.

Why are you freeking out? you should have known the consequences when you did it in the first place. you wouldn't have to be putting healing cream on it if you hadn't done it in the first place. not only will you have scars now you are most likely going to have withdrawls. most people who cut once have a hard time quitting. its like smoking, smoke once your going to crave it again, cut your going to crave it. i know ive been there. worst mistake ever.

but since i dont want to sound like a complete dick, keep using the healing cream.

Some people deal with situations in a different way than others, some release stress by say... punching a pillow or something where I can't really do that, and the reason I freaked out was because I've just started cutting and i've never been so deep and it was just freaky...
