Depends on where you are going to wear it. I'm more of a jeans and polo guy for day to day. To school? Umm preppy..but not formal

I love dressy.

That outfit is all right, but all a little to plain. I guess if you don't have the money to drop for a more colorful outfit, this would suffice. But why start something if you can't do it well? I say go for something more interesting.

You can do that i guess but it's gonna looks real dull since you have a plain shirt and plain pants. The tie's there to give the shirt some break from the grey.
