My brother's story:
... probably too poor to afford a decent prom dress.
What should I do?
I'm not paying for her dress, but I don't want her to wear this crappy dress (http://www.dealstudio.com/searchdeals.php?type=id&q=d246640&ru=27706338)for prom and make me and her look bad.
What do u think about it?Is it too cheap and crappy?

That looks like a cute dress. Seriously though, if she can't afford it why are you complaining? Some people don't have the money. I'm pretty sure a dress is on a lower priority than you know....eating?
If you have that much of a problem with it then either pay for a nicer dress, or dump her.

Stop being so shallow. She deserves better than to be judged by how much she can afford to drop on a dress for ONE occasion.

I have to agree with you bro, if you are so worried you either need to go and let her borrow one of yours or a good friend of yours, or you need to get over it.
I know that my sister has lent some of her dresses to one of my dates because she could not afford to get one (my sister has about 15 different evening gowns because we do a lot of major performances) and then my date would get her own shoes and I would have my cousin do her hair.
You either need ot do something about it or get over it.

Check out Donate My Dress, or something like that. I'm pretty sure that's the name. There's a place where she can get a dress, shoes, and accessories for free if she can't afford. I think there's an application involved maybe, I can't remember, sorry.
Also, tell her to check out second hand stores. Most of the time, prom gowns are worn 1 or 2 times. I've been in a couple second hand stores and there's rooms full of prom gowns and wedding dresses!
Or, have her ask around her friends to borrow one! Ask around for friend's old dresses, or cousins, whatever. Around the same size, so no alterations have to be done though!

The dress is cute. It looks like a lot of dresses people wear these days, if not BETTER because it's not so slutty.
Don't be shallow. Let her wear it.

That dress isn't anything special but it's not "cheap and crappy" why do you care so much anyway? If she's not even going with you?
I'm sorry but you strike me as very shallow if that's all you're bothered about.
