Uncertain on future. :/

I'm at a crossroads on my life of what to do, on one hand I got excepted into a local technical school for a 2 year program for Diesel mechanics, with my first year paid by my High School and that has good opportunities for me, but on the other hand everyone is expecting me to join the Military and that also has a lot of benefits for me, thing bout military is I'm overweight and I'm somewhat of a pothead etc.

Not really sure what to do with my life. Anyone got any advice

Who's expecting you to join the military? And do you want to? I'd say, take the college course and if you still want to enlist, do it once you're finished. Those skills could be relevant to an army position or something.

View the pros and cons of both careers. Ignore how everyone else will take your choice, just think about where you'll be in 10 years and which career choice will get you to where you want to be more.

DEFINETLY tehnician,you could join military when ever you want later,but i guess you only have one chance with the tehnician thing,i see that you want to do that,so tell everyone else to fuck off if they don't like it... :)
