What the crap people? Thor came out on FRIDAY in America. Earlier around the world. Yet there's no topic for its discussion?
Overall I give the movie a 7/10 (for superhero movie comparison Iron Man got 8/10, Dark Knight got 10/10 according to me).
Pros:
- The CGI for scenes not taking place on Earth is amazing.
- Story is fun, it's not the deepest piece of cinema in existance, but it isn't meant to be. The movie is about THOR for goodness sakes.
- Story progression is handled at an appropriate pace.
- Sif and the Warriors Three are some of the best supporting characters in a superhero movie.
Cons:
- I do not like how they handled Loki's character. Overall he was one of the best characters in the movie, but as a fan of the comics I was hoping for some batshit insanity.
- The fight with Destroyer was too brief and not to the scale it should've been.
- Most characters are fairly one-dimensional; especially Natalie Portman's.
- Disliked that they turned Asgardians into superadvanced aliens instead of real gods. In the comics most all of the characters enjoy pointing out the fact that they're gods and not just mutated/special/advanced beings.
