Brazil's supreme court has been recognised the legal rights of same sex partners in "stable" civil unions.
The 10 judices unanimously ruled parners in the same union had the same legal rights as a man and a women in marriage. "Those who opt for a homosexual cannot be treated less than equally as citizens" Cheif Justice Cezar Peluso said.
