My prom is coming up, and I am deciding what to wear, and I was thinking about wearing a black shirt with black pants and a silver tie. Thoughts?

My date (well, the person I want to be my date) is gonna be wearing silver. So yes, i will be matching

Black shirt and pant, silver tie and vest maybe? Even a black fadora with a silver wrap.

Sounds preety nice to me:). Maybe a brighter shirt though? (red, teal) :P

Yes it is, I have always worn a tux but around where I live sometimes soem of the guys are not able to afford a tuxedo so they wear a really nice suit.

For instance, my sisters date last year was not able to afford or rent a tux so I let him borrow one of mine.

Right, I understand that it is usually, I just didn't know if the OP was planning on wearing a suit coat or something, or not. :P
