Fervid lights blend into skin
burning down everything within.
Light destroys, heat ends.
We close our eyes to cool our skin.
Weeks become months--
months become years.
Nonsence provokes reaction,
reaction-led tears.
Ominous nightlights pass
Railroad darkness sets in.
You look into the night--
the skylights are there again.
