Maths? There is only one way. Study the concepts, learn the formulas, do exercises... a lot of exercises -- even if you do mistakes, that's even better. That's all to it in Maths.
Oh, do it daily, everyday. Do what you have done in the school the same day, never procrastinate. Also, study the next chapter before the school starts it.

My learning disability allows me only to do simple maths. I'd love to be able to do that level of maths

I'm assuming that you need to be familiar and comfortable with basic concepts of algebra, such as manipulation, factorizing, logarithms, surds, indices, etc. etc..
The ONLY WAY to get any where good with maths is practice, practice, PRACTICE!!! Just do questions - Maths cannot be learned by rote learning.
If you need any help with particular questions just post them here or PM me and I'll do my best to help.

Pre-calc is the corse I am just finishing.
It is actually not that hard but if you don't pay attention, you will pay for it.
It starts with a lot of trig. A LOT. then there are lots of new concepts, including series and stuff...
The actual pre-cal isn't until the very end of the course. I thought it was a great course.
As for the Calculus; well buddy i can't help you there. Have not taken it myself. Good thing you are taking them in the same year in consecutive order.
GOOD LUCK! :)

precalc isn't super rigorous. It's just a next level of math.
Remeber your graphing from Algebra 2 and triangle geometry, and precalc will be fine.

I'm a sophomore finishing Pre-Calc this year. It's really easy, but I'm just good at math. If you did well in Alg 2, then you should be fine in this class. Just pay attention in class(take notes.) do the homework, and then you should do well on the tests. Simple. (:

Word of advice. do all your homework.
you might be doing trig in pre-calc, I had trig, and one thing you definitely need to know is to memorize the Unit Circle values. otherwise you're doomed.
some parts are easy some aren't but then again that's to me and I'm not exactly really good at math.
I found a good site that has loads of information on math from simple to calculus. Search 'Purplemath'

I purposely avoided taking any type of advanced maths (Pre Cal and Statistics is what our school offers). I listened to one of my teachers tell everyone how HARD both the classes are. I know for a fact that at this point only one person out of around 50 people in each of the two classes is passing...Senior year right here and I'm in algebra 2! Woo!
So. Study like hell. Pay attention. Because I know for a fact none of these people did...

Hi! Hope I'm not too late to chime in.
I currently work as a summer school teacher for Algebra and Precalculus, so maybe I can help.
Precalculus is essentially an extension of your previous algebra classes (think, Algebra 3!) with more complex applications. It generally includes aspects of Trigonometry (think, Geometry 2) and sometimes Statistics. To do well, be active in class (including taking notes and asking questions as the instructor does examples), read definitions and examples in the textbook, and keep up with homework. The more frequently you practice, the easier it will be for you to apply your skills on a range of different math problems.
Calculus is a bit less algorithmic in nature than the previous mathematics courses, so be sure to get the fundamental concepts down as soon as you start. I hope that you'll find, however, that Calculus is much more applicable to the real world, and fun!

I took AP Calculus (http://www.shmoop.com/ap-calculus/) last year and found it really hard so I started using this online resource called Shmoop which really helped me. It explains all the concepts in a very simple way and has fun examples to illustrate what you’ve studied. Also, it has a ton of practice drills, exercises, response questions and full length mock exams that really helped me master the coursework. Definitely worth checking out.
