Should a parent/legal guardian be able to force a teenager to have an abortion if giving birth is risky? In other words if the girl continues the pregnancy or gives birth she risks severe injury, illness. or even death.

Pretty sure they have a say in her medical treatment and if they don't they could probably get a court order. It would be pointless to continue the pregnancy. If it went wrong both her AND the baby could be lost. So yes I believe the parents/guardian should have a say but only in a life and death situation, otherwise absolutely not.

I think as long as the teenager knows what the dangers are then no, I don't believe the parents should be able to force her.

What's funny about it all is an abortion is safer to have than having a baby as a teenager.

Abortion is safer than having a baby, doctors say (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/healthnews/8349898/Abortion-is-safer-than-having-a-baby-doctors-say.html)
Abortions are safer for pregnant women than having a baby, new advice claims (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1361154/Abortions-safer-having-baby-new-advice-claims.html)

And the fact that having a baby as a teenager would probably ruin your life where on the other side... having the abortion and going to college to live on with life?

They shouldn't be forced, but the teen should really think it through. Fuck the dumb moral views because once it comes down to living by yourself in an apartment trying to feed your child but you can barely feed yourself, they'll look back at themselves and realize how fucking dumb they are. Unless they're in denial.

A teenager raising a baby can easily ruin a family, especially if it's a lower class family with barely any money to feed a family itself.
