I don’t know why,
This has occurred
I’ve fallen for a guy
But not just a guy
I’ve fallen for my best friend.
He has been there in cheers and grieves,
In joyness and sadness,
At every time of day.
You don’t know how much I feel
To have him by my side
Being a true friend and all.
As time goes by,
He leaves without shaking my hand.
I’ve seen him hang
With his new best friends,
Putting me in,
In great vexation.
I miss his warm smile in the morning,
As well as his beguiling laugh.
His glimmering hair shines in the light,
The reflection of his light brown hair.
I miss his companion
And I have no one else but him.
I wanna know why
He’s gone so soon,
I say hi to him, He doesn’t respond.
I text him every day to see if he replies,
I wait all night long
Waiting for his reply.
Today I saw him at school, for once,
I smiled a warm smile to see if he’d look,
He gave me a stare, and kept walking off.
Faster than the speed of light
My smile went away,
And I went off walking to my next class,
As my heart lies asunder in his hands.
I wrote him a note in class, saying exactly this:
No matter in sadness or joy
I’ve been there for you always, and always will.
No matter what, you’ll be my best friend forever,
But let me tell you this one time,
And I thought you’d like to know
That I’ve like once, and you’ll be my perfect guy
With this I tell you
And that I love you and always will.
No matter what the effect is,
You are my only crush,
Your rejection is the only thing I have
Of our friendship we used to have.
Today I say, talk to you later
Even if you may hate me by now.
