I will be taking the SAT soon and I am curious what to expect. I am a strait A student and am kind of nervous about the SAT. Advice?

Study and chill. Just review the material and then chill out. It's not the ultra-mega-test that it used to be, failing it won't do you in for good anymore.

How you practice depends on a couple things. How much time are you willing to spend? and how much money are you willing to spend? Tutors are effective but very expensive. I would suggest you purchase a few test prep books. The CollegeBoard Online Course ($60 or so) include3s lots of practice and quite a few practice tests. Princeton Review and Kaplan also offer effective books. Kaplan is also well-known for having fairly effective classes on the SAT, which can cost a few hundred dollars. If you want to study on your own.Reading - biggest thing is to read challenging material often. Also look up SAT Vocabulary on google for the Vocab section of the Reading Comprehension Section. Writing - Review your grammar. You can find plenty of free info online to help with this. Nothing really complex is tested, so just hone your ear to picking out errors in writing.
Math -Try sparknotes.com for free SAT math practice (and other sections too). It's mostly Algebra 1 and Geometry, so review those skills.

SAT is just a test of memorization, random knowledge, and attention to detail.
The vocabulary part was the main nuisance to me... you may need to know the difference between "straight" and "strait" though.
"Straight" means not curved, or consecutive, as in "straight A student."
"Strait" is a body of water.
Just learn the format of everything, and study out of one of the hundreds of SAT books. The test is garbage, but it's good practice in dealing with bureaucracy!
