Just got prescribed this, SSRI I believe. I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with this, I can't seem to find much online. Took one this morning, as directed. No noticable changes yet (I'm thinking a few weeks to a month), as expected, just that I've been yawning almost non-stop without feeling tired.
Would love to hear from anyone who's tried it.

It's funny that you mention the constant yawning, because when I was on Lexapro (escitalopram), I was yawning like crazy the first day I took it. Except in my case, I felt the effects immediately, which I understand is not a normal response.
My ex-girlfriend was on Celexa for a spell, and she gained a good deal of weight. I didn't notice any changes in her mood or affect and I honestly can't remember if she said it helped her or not... Sorry.

Thanks man, glad the yawning thing isn't just my imagination. From what I understand Lexapro is basically the same thing anyway. Well, here's hoping it's the only side-effect, will keep my eyes out for weight changes.
Thanks again!

Didn't and still don't have any side effects at all. Considering your on it i'm thinking it's for depression which can cause sleep problems anyway. So most probably not the tablet at all...
Any other questions just ask. Been on it for a fair while now. They did start you on a half tablet at first if not thats not a good thing. To strong a dose too quickly also depends heavily on your age.

New, extremely humiliating side effect to add to the list. See this thread: http://virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=103013
I spoke to my psychiatrist and he blamed it on alcohol. I am now completely sober, still no luck.
Did anyone else get this? C'mon, be honest.

I experienced this. The alcohol could definitely play a part, but the difficulty in reaching orgasm or achieving an erection is undoubtedly a result of the SSRI. No doubt in my mind.
