Hi id like to know if I will get arrested im only 15. My aunt handed me her debit card to pay my cellphone bill and I did, but now she's claiming I stole it. The person who's money is put into the account is alright with it, but she's trying to press charges.

Yes, there usually a juvenille (sp?) detention center(10-18) in each county or reigon but that may vary from st8 to st8. Google your state and look @ the laws

If you're innocent just explain your story. It's a he said she said. As long as you don't have a record the chance of you being arrested for this is slim.

Wow wtf? How can your aunt do that to you?

I agree with Rob, anyways. Just tell your story and it will be over with. If your aunt doesn't have any proof, you can't be arrested. :)

I don't have a record, but people will testify about her and how she acts. I haven't had any school discipline referrals and all A's in school.

Hey, this all may seem scary to think about, but in the eyes of the law, someone (in this case a minor that is a family member) allegedly taking a debit card to pay for something (in this case a cell phone bill that is what, no more than $100?) is about nothing compared to a murder.

Chances are that if the police "came to arrest you," they would just release you back into the custody of your guardian. Then you would go to court. You can get yourself a public defender if you wish. The court will take your past recorded, school record, and grades into consideration. They will also look into your aunt's past record. I really doubt your aunt can outsmart a judge, but she can try. If it even gets this far.

If your innocent like you say, don't even worry about it. But if you are guilty, you probably wouldn't get more than a couple months of probation.

Just tell the truth and things will work out better for you.

Good Luck!

Thanks guys. My dad persuaded her not to have me prosecuted so it didn't even go on my record, and shes not allowed around me anymore.

That's lucky I suppose. Could have been worse.
