So I've been talking to this girl for the past year! We've kinda been off and on, talking wise. Around august-september wise we got really really really close to going out but i never asked her. She was the one who broke it off the a few days before i was gonna ask her to a homecoming dance and ultimatly ask her.

We stopped talking for a while after that, but around December we started talking again. It seemed more of a friend relationship but up until now she seems to have times where she can be really flirty and then times where she is just all serious. We hang out at school together most of the time and when people ask us if we're giong out she's the first to say no or laugh. i just keep quiet because i want to hear what she has to say about it.My friends joke around with her about me and when they ask her if she likes me or that me and her should go out she just get's quiet and is like "oh my god" and walks away.

It's really hard to tell whether or not she likes me or not, or if it was just a summer love. i really like her but when she acts like im just a friend and she can blow me off it just makes me mad.
Can anyone help?

She could have feelings, and maybe she is avoiding a relationship. She could be fearing a ruin friendship. Or she might not like you.

Maybe you can try talking to her about it? I know it's a bit scary to just ask her out, but sometimes it helps.

I think she is avoiding a relationship and just wants us to be friends.
i don't know how to bring it up without ruining or bringing awkwardness into our relationship tho..

Ah, the flirty friend. I've been there. Logically, it would seem like you have a chance, seem like she could like you, seem like there's hope. My thoughts are that maybe there was something at some point. Maybe there was a temporary summer love. If I were you, I would just enjoy her friendship. I know, that sounds like a total cop out, right? The truth is, I don't think she likes you, no fault of your own. I was wear you were a while ago. Fell hopelessly for a girl and didn't realize how deep in the friend zone I was. Now that girl who I had been hopelessly infatuated with for a year and a half is my best friend, and I'm thrilled. You win some and you loose some, sorry :( Good luck!

I hate those awkward moments, but I know for me, I have hated the times that I have not said something more so than the awkward moments. As you get older, (atleast for me) those seem not so hard to endure. Just keep trucking and do what you feel is right!
