I hallucinate, and I cut because of it. I have been cutting for almost a year, and have been hallucinating for two years. It's mostly the cutting I need help with. My cuts keep getting deeper and longer, and I can't stop. My parents know, but they think I've stopped. I haven't. They don't know about the hallucinations. I don't want to stop, but I just want some advice. I don't feel comfortable talking to a counselor/therapist. Any advice for me?

You should probably start by breaking out of your comfort zone and talking to a psychiatrist. They can help you make the hallucinations stop. Stopping the hallucinations could lessen and eventually make you quit cutting. It's also important to be honest with your parents and tell them that you haven't quit. I guess the advice that I'm trying to give you is to take the first steps by talking to people. It's hard to talk to professionals the first couple of times...but it does get easier. I'll be honest with you.....it's extremely awkward and hard to talk about (for me anyways)...but in the end, you'll be glad you got help sooner rather than later.

I wish I could talk to someone, but I actually have a fear of therapists/counselors, or whatever you want to call them. Bringing up my feelings to someone professional is very very awkward for me, and has given me panic attacks in the past. But, I do have a friend who I tell a lot of stuff to, and she has helped me a lot, but she also gave me your advice.

Which means you should probably take it. Things will eventually work out...but you just need help from an adult who studied to help you.

I was scared about seeing a councillor at first, it's not easy, but you can overcome it. IO really do recommend seeing someone, especially for the hallucinations as these could become very serious. If you find it hard to talk to them try writing it all down and just giving them it. :)
