Does he like me?

Ok this is quite a story but bear with me please:
Me and this guy went out once, but it was really short because he said "he loved me but was in love with someone else" so i went through all the sadness and madness but eventually i got over it. So then i decided to reach out and asked him to like just be friends. He accepted and we've been cool. Now the weird things are as followed:
1.) He insults his boyfriend all the time, privately and in front of me. and said that I understand him more than his boyfriend
2.) He would get...weird whenever I would like another guy and be all mad at me
3.) Me and him seem to click more than his bf, like his bf is all quiet when we talk, and even when im not around, they're still quiet and reserved.
4.) He said in front of his bf "When you get your apartment, i wanna move in with you" I said "Well what bout ____? haha he is right here..." He said "I don't give a f*ck" Me- O.O
5.) The first day we hung out as friends He stared at me...DEAD at me. Like at my face and i catch him lookin at me alot.
6.) He tries to hang out with me ALL the time. Like when i do the first time, he mentions like when am i gonna see u again? and can i see you tommarow. Like it seems like whenever im free, he wants me to hang out with him.
It seems like he is with his boyfriend because he really doesnt have a place to stay and he is giving it to him. Im not sure but I think he really likes me more and once i get my apt so he wont be homeless, he'd like talk to me and try to be with me again.
I need ALL kinds of advice. Please help =)

1) Maybe they have a sort of odi et amo relationship and when he says you understand him better, it could mean he needs a good friend.
2) He's probably jealous -- whenever a girl I liked for some time, and we had gone out for a while but hadn't work, would start talking about another boy she liked, I'd get kinda jealous... I'm just not that open to say it :)
3) Maybe he needs a best friend.
4) I don't get it --
5) Maybe he does like you... or finds you interesting. Maybe he finds you attractive but doesn't love you as he does his actual boyfriend.
6) He might really be in need of a best friend lol...

I tell you this... if my guess is right and they have a love-hate relationship there's little you can do if you want him... love-hate relationships are stronger than anything I have personally experienced and I tell you, even if sometimes we'd go hours together without saying a word to each other and acting kind of violently, we knew that, very deep inside, that love was still burning and consuming us. Too bad that relationship had to stop for outside factors... I swear to God that what I felt towards her was something I had never felt before; I did things I would have never done for anyone else, and wouldn't do for any other person... yet.
