I think the only 2011 album I have (which is awesome) is I Want That You Are Always Happy, which is The Middle East's first full-length album. Wish I had more on my 'to-get' list.

The Airborne Toxic Event's new album just came out, then Amanda Palmer Goes Down Under and IAMX's Volatile Times. That's pretty much it... what I'm really looking forward to is next year I believe, Nightwish's new album.

Well, I already have over thirty albums on my list over here (http://rateyourmusic.com/list/deadpie/my_2011_aotys) if you wanna check it out.

I am so getting lots of those albums, Tim. I've already gotten Sleepingdog's album, and it's great so far.

Unfortunately none of the bands I listen to have released a band this year. KISS announced a new album coming out, and Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora (guitarist of Bon Jovi) both announced solo albums, though the latter two may not be out this year.

Scurrilous by Protest the Hero is the only album from 2011 I've heard so far. I liked it a lot.

I'm sorry but that's just sad.

I'm sorry but that's just sad.

Why is that sad? That coincidentally none of the bands I listen to have done an album in less than half of a year?

Why is that sad?
Because there's good music being released all the time.

Got some stuff off deadpie's albums of the year list. Sleepingdog's 'With Our Heads In The Clouds And Our Hearts In The Fields', Explosions In The Sky's 'Take Care, Take Care, Take Care', and Dustin O'Halloran's 'Lumiere'... all of which are really good.

Sylosis - Edge of the Earth. Fantastic thrash/melodeath band from the UK, incredible album. The solos/general guitar work are the highlights, but if you like metal then I'd recommend it. Also, Letlive's reissue of Fake History, just because it's a great post-hardcore (not the shit Rise Records type...) album. I dig the Foo Fighters' new album, it's a return to form after a couple of rather disappointing albums.

Really, the only album that I've listened to that has come out this year is Explosions in the Sky's, "Take Care, Take Care, Take Care". I enjoyed it, though it's not my favorite album by them. There are some other albums on my radar that I haven't looked at yet that I want to.

I liked:
Endgame (Rise Against)
Vices & Virtues (Panic! At the Disco)

I want to listen to Earth's new album, as well as Blackfield's. I just haven't gotten around to it.
