So my dad is an investigator for crashes in the Air force. And In this job he can be deployed fairly quickly because of what he has to do. Now he has been deployed before but I was like 8 and didnt truely understand it.

Im proud of my dad and I want to serve as well but I keep thinking what might happen if he does get called out to somewhere in a warzone. Its driving me crazy.

Anyone else a defence force kid and know the feeling?

I'm not a defence force kid but I have a friend who's brother went into air force.
It must be really scary for you, make sure your dad knows how scared you are.
But if your dad Is doing something he loves doing, all you can do is feel happy for him that he is doing something he loves. And look on the positive side of things, it might come out really good, and get on with your life. That is what your dad would want you to do.
Message me if you wanna talk.

My dad used to be in the Air Force too. Not during my life time so I can't say I understand completely, but I used to want to be in the forces too, and I knew there would have been a chance of something happening. I knew though that that is what I would have wanted to do, and i'd want people to know that i died in a way I wanted to.
