On my new monitor, there is a little tiny blue sorta spec on the bottom left sort of corner. Its most noticable when the sceen is black, but its only there when the monitor is on. I know its nothing serious, but i sort of have OCD and its bothering me. Should i return it for a new one, or just try and not notice it, or possible get rid of it.

Anyone know what it is?

Its a dead pixel, i had two in my old laptop, one was red and one was green, quite annoying.

i had a couple on my LCD, all i did was poke and maybe tap it and it went away. you can also try pressing the autorefresh button where it refreshes the entire screen

yep dead pixel, only way to fix it is to get a new one or send it in for repair which is costly...

i have one on my Nintendo DS....not too noticeable so i never sent it in for the free repair the day I got it

Well, I wouldn't call it a "dead" pixel, but it's kind of stuck. This occasionally happens to LCD monitors and displays. Sometimes, a stuck pixel will fix itself, though sometimes it will stay like that indefinitely. I don't know if bumps have any effect on the pixel or not. My advice is to ignore it - because I doubt the store would give you a new one because of a pixel, but if they will, go for it.

But I say again, it's not a dead pixel. It's simply stuck. My DSLite has one green pixel on it. My brother's DS use to have a bright blue pixel, however, it fixed itself and works fine now.

Hmm. Ill try to refresh it. Although its dark blue, its not like its a big deal, it just always draws my attention. How can i refresh my monitor?

*Edit*

Lmao, thanks Karmine! I just pressed it, and it went all colorful, and when i lifted my finger it was gone :D
