I liked this girl Maddy, met her, flirted a little, and I got her number which she was hesitant to give. I texted her that night, she never answered, and I just left things at that without bothering her anymore.
For the next few months I just kept to saying hi occasionally in the halls of high school. She is a junior and I am a senior. We have a mutual friend that we are both best friends with and her name is Cara.
Cara was going to senior prom with a friend who likes her. She doesn't know that but her friends asked her hypothetically and she said she didn't like him any more than friends.
Two of my previous dates canceled and luckily Cara was nice enough to set me up to go with Maddy. Now I got over her quickly before but I am thinking I may kind of like her again.
Maddy and I started texting last week, nothing despirate or pushy as we both tend to take 10-30 minutes between texts. I keep mentioning we should go hang out with Cara and her date before prom and she keeps saying "sure!" "awesome, sounds good :)" etc... Yet when I try to talk to Cara, she says she is busy all of the time which I am feeling it is because she doesn't want to be around her date.
I'm hesitant to try hanging alone with her one on one as I'm not sure how I feel about her yet and I don't want to compromise myself. I'm just not sure what to do.
