I just want to know how do you review for a test? Do you have any techniques or methods that help you study easier?

I use colours, i associate words with colours and when im in the test I'll put colours on my hand to prompt me.

Umm i go over things over and over again, usually I'll get a mate that takes the same subject and i find if they go over it with me and then keep randomly prompting me it goes in so much easier.

I first begin reading the summery, if there is any. I skim over the material once, view it again. In the third time I study it thoroughly. Then I pick out important points, I mark them. Note them down, and study them.

If there is a formula, I memorise it, and do some exercises using it.

I use flash cards. It helps tons for me. It take them around with me and will randomly study them to see if I know them off the top of my head, and if I don't, I make some sort of mark to make sure I study that one again to make sure I get it next time. It works for me.

I personally find making mindmaps of the topic to be helpful.

If its for a math test i do all the problems in the chapter review at the end of any chapter. If you get any wrong then look up the chapter that problem came from and practice those.

Languages: Flash cards + grammar practice books

History: rereading the chapters and flashcards

Good Luck :)

Read your notes. A lot. A lot. Like, a million times. Then take your highlighter, and highlight. I end up highlighting everything, literally everything, but it means I'm reading it at least one more time. Yellow apparently is the most effective to help you remember concepts, however I change based on what I have with me.

Do a practice exam, if you can. Test yourself, don't look any answers up, then check with the answer key. If you get a lot of questions on a certain topic wrong, obviously review that topic. Then, read the exam over again, out loud, and focus only on the correct answers. Relate ideas to answers.

My friends and I have taken up the hobby of pacing while we study. One friend tried it, and said it helped, so now we all do it. I pace back and forth, talking out loud to myself. That means you are hearing the information as well as reading it. Not sure why pacing helps, but it seems to.

Make up ways to remember stuff. My APUSH teacher has a saying for almost everything. For example, with the amendments. The 18th was prohibition, the 21st repealed it. 18 was the drinking age, and now 21 is. Just small things like that to jog your memory.

Basically, the more time you spend with your book/notes the better, seeing the information enough times is bound to make it stick.

Revise Revise Revise :)

Focus on the main points by putting it on a sheet of paper, then use that in Homeroom, Recess ect. Also try and study the thing thats coming up the closest.
