View Full Version : Guys who wear Cowboy Boots

What do y'all think of a guy who wears Cowboy Boots? Like for everyday wear or even for work usually. I don't necessarily mean just when a guy wears 'em to go riding or to go to a rodeo or something.
I wear em all the time. I think they are pretty comfortable. I've worn 'em ever since I was little. I wear them to school all the time too. Usually with a nice button up shirt or t-shirt, a pair of Wrangler or Levi's jeans, and a ballcap. I've got a couple of pairs of boots. Just wondering what y'all think when you see a guy wearing Cowboy Boots? Y'all think he looks stupid or pretty decent? Does anyone else here wear em?

Seeing someone wear cowboy boots typically gives me a good idea of who they're voting for. Unless they're seen wearing them in a gay bar or Lady Gaga concert, in which case their political standing is also fairly predictable.

Well I've always worn em because I'm from Texas, and a lot of guys here wear them. I'm not gay haha, but I do lean towards the Republican Party and I'm pretty conservative.

I hate cowboy boots, actually. I've tried on a pair, and didn't like the feel.
If I wear boots, they're light, casual boots. Like these.

I was just saying that the country/western look isn't uncommon among gay males, just as it is very common among conservatives in the United States. Two different stereotypes can arise from the same pair of boots.

I don't see how they could be comfortable. I swear, some people try too hard with them, though...

I guess if that's your style then it's cool. Although i think you shouldn't wear them everyday. Maybe every other day is alright. Wear a pair of casual sneakers on some days and wear your cowboy boots on other days.

Wearing cowboy boots all the way up here will probably turn some heads, but nobody really cares. The only boots people really wear are those gross tan/yellow color work boots.

I know a lot of guys that do..to be honest I usually make fun of them...buy some tennis shoes or something...there is no reason to wear them all the time

I personally think it's cool. They are really comfortable, as long as they are broken in and everything. I don't usually judge people by their shoes.
But if a guy wears the boots correctly, with the pants on the outside of the boots, then it might be cool. I like the western look a bit more than I like the urban look. It's probably the reason that I was raised to like the look, but that's just me.
I want to get a pair, but I can't get a good pair yet, because a good pair is really expensive.
One thing that does bug me, is when girls wear skinny jeans with Cowboy boots. To them it may be 'fashionable' but it looks stupid, because it's not I guess I could say traditional. The pant legs belong on the outside of the boot, not on the inside.

I've only saw one person wear them in my life, and I was in the US at that time. Cowboy boots would be so cool since it's so rare, unless you're on a ranch. They look pretty cool to me.

I go to a very agriculturally geared school, so pretty much all the kids in the department wear or own a pair of cowboy boots. I just see it as a way to pick them out from the crowd :P

Assumption 1: You're ultraconservative and probably closeminded.
Assumption 2: Your feet are deformed/they're fake
I do ride a bit, I have a pair of western riding boots ("cowboy", whatever. they're solid black with minimal stitching) and the arch is placed for being in a saddle, not walking. Absolutely hate walking in them.
