Need some help.

I like this girl in my class, we used to text a lot but now it's rare if she texts back (my phone's messed up so I don't know if she even gets some of them) but one of my friends really likes her as well. He's better looking, stronger, but he treats me like crap sometimes. I'm afraid to ask her out because I have low self-esteem and self-confidence and I honestly think I'm ugly. Can someone help me out?

I feel awkward around her, plus I never really see her outside of school or get to talk to her in school because we're in different homerooms and our classes aren't together either.

Well, you should gather the courage to ask her out, get a new phone and arrange a meeting with her, outside the school. Maybe if you do it first, therefore showing confidence, you'll date her instead of the other dude.
