Got a job... well i think

So you know how Mcdonalds was having that hiring day thing? Yea, so i went... and filled out my application, and had the interview.

Great, the guy said i look forward to working with you, you should hear from us within a week...

and that was last Tuesday. so now its a week and a day later and one of my really close friends works there. and she texted me saying come to mcdonalds at 3:30 on may 5th... i was like: ...oh? why? and she was like make sure you have your working card. i said okk, why? and shes like sheesh, just do it... you got the job you retart... and i was like oh yay!, you know first job, woo hoo!

i wasn't home at the time, so i expected there to be a message on my house phone for me. and when i got home there wasnt one...

so i texted my friend and said when are they going to call? and she said they told me to just tell you.

now im like, thats not professional... why would they do that?

and she goes yeah thats mcdonalds for ya, they will hire anyone, and be so un-professional....

i was like -__- what do i do??

should i call there and be like i just want to confirm my meeting with ____ on may 5th.?

That's quite a situation right there. Best course of action is to call and confirm. Your friend could be yanking your chain.

I think you should either call or go by sometime when they are not to busy and speak to the manager, and ask what all you need the first day, ( what kind of pants, shoes, when do you get your shirts, hat) This too well show that you are ready to work and excited to do it

thanks everyone; so i talked to my friend, and she said that may 5th is orientation....

ok so if anyone was wondering, i did get the job, and ive been working there a month and a few days. its not that bad!
