I am going to cry. I mean, both that (SPOILER, JUST IN CASE) Tonks and Lupin and Bella and Snape die. This will be the first film where favourite characters die (except Mad-Eye), so I haven't had to face it yet, and EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER I like dies. I sobbed during the book, I can't imagine watching them die. Especially Bella. Though I think HBC will have a great part because of it. And because of the trailer, I know they will show that, I mean, her getting killed, of course, for Mrs. Weasley's spotlight (does anyone else still think Neville should have done it?) I just hope they don't actually show Tonks and Lupin getting killed. I don't think I could handle that on top of everything else. They will show that they did die, but I don't want to watch it :/ (UNSPOILER) and that it will be all over. I was nine when I saw the first one in the cinema. And now, it's all ending. *sigh* What other extensive, decent series am I going to look forward to now? I don't have anything else...
The trailer was epic, like the HP ones always are. I saw it the day it came out, I got spammed on Facebook with the link.
If I end up getting a group together, I'm going to dress up. I usually do that, but it's just a dark mark usually and maybe some robes. If my friends do it, I'll be pulling out my old Bella costume. :P Assuming It's not too big. I forget what size I made it.

I was about 8 years old when I first saw the movie too. The part that terrified me was when you see Voldemort on the back on the teacher's head. I still think that scene is creepy.
But yay - the trailer looked good, so I can't wait to see the movie.

That bit in TPS with Voldemort in the forest was fucking terrifying when I was a kid. I can't believe this will be the last one. I've grown up with Harry Potter so the thought of it ending is quite sad. Hopefully the ending won't be as shit as the book's one, which was vague and didn't explain what happened to so many characters. Did Harry become an Auror? What jobs did Ron and Hermoine get? Anyway, I can't wait for this.

And Tonks that was sad :'( It'll be like the end of an era! I've seen almost everyone in the cinema with my family on the first showing. I didn't see the first one in the cinema as I was like 7 but we got it on DVD pretty fast.

I didn't cry over Dobby, I probably would have if someone else had killed him. I was too wrapped up in that part, it was so fucking epic. Bella had a great part there.
In the books though, I only cried over Bella (well, actually, I didn't cry during the book, but before I read the book, because some idiot edited the Wikipedia page the night before the book was released...), Tonks, and Lupin. And we'll see if that remains the same number. I might cry over Snape in the film as well.
I call myself a Slytherclaw. I'm not flat-out Slytherin myself. But I'm far from Hufflepuff and Gryffindor. I still choose Slytherin, but I guess I'm more of a fusion.

I went to the midnight showing of it last night, I thought it was absolutely amazing, single handedly probably the best film yet, it actually made me quite sad at the end when it really did hit me thats it, its all over now. I just got home from the 3AM showing. It was awesome! I'm sad that the series is now over, it's like the end of my childhood. I was surprised that they did the epilogue from the book. They really did the book justice, which I'm very happy about. The Hogwarts battle scene was EPIC, it was exactly how I pictured it in my head when I read the book ^_^

So I had never read any of the books or seen any of the movies (except the first two) until Wednesday night. My friends and I had a Harry Potter Marathon. Which was basically us sitting on the couch for 17+ hours watching all 7 of the movies, then going and waiting in line for 6 hours for the midnight premier.
It was AMAZING! I'm hooked and am going to read the books now, and after I read the books I am going to watch all the movies again. The last one was amazing. I cried when Fred died though. I am really sad the series is over, even though I didn't watch them all when they came out, I have heard about them the past 10 or 11 years.
Also, I am glad I didn't read the books first. I have seen a lot of people not like the movies because they don't follow the books. And the last movie was really suspenseful, so I think reading the books would of kind of ruined it for me.

I saw it earlier. It was as perfect as it could be. I honestly don't think they could have made it better. The 3D looks really awesome and (how cliché...) is quite immersive. Everything was as I pictured it when reading the book and they thankfully didn't change too much. I nearly cried with the Snape bit at the end, it was brilliantly made and Alan Rickman acted it beautifully. Overall, the film was a fitting end to the series and I guess my childhood as well, seeing as I grew up with it. Now, for Pottermore which should give me the proper ending I really wanted JK Rowling to write as she explained fuck all. Hopefully this should sort this out by explaining properly what happened to all the characters. Did Harry become an Auror? Who became headmaster after Voldemort died? What do Ron and Hermione do? Did Neville and Luna get together? All these questions need answering.

BEST. MOVIE. EVER. EVER. Me and a friend went to the midnight premiere with our Harry Potter scars, t-shirts, wands (I had Sirius's and she had Hermione's) etc. and as the movie was showing in 3-D, the theater game out 3-D glasses shaped like Harry's (like round and black). it was INCREDIBLE.
Edit: to the above comment: JK Rowling already answered some of those questions; the ones I remember are: 1. Harry and Ron became Aurors 2. Neville and Luna did not get together (I think Neville married Hannah Abbot or someone like that and Luna married this guy who's name I forgot and had two kids).

It was a great movie but it pissed me off at parts and I don't think it did the books justice. It just seemed like it rushed through the plot and shortened scenes to the minimum required. I mean Bellatrix's death scene was the biggest pile of fucking crap ever. Way to fuck over my favorite character. Tonks and Lupin didnt even get a death scene. the way the showed Freds death was bullshit, it was like 3 seconds of them crying, whoopdefuckingdo, Kreacher never lead the house elves into battle, Harry never repaired his wand, the centaurs and grawp never showed up to fight, and Harry's return from the grave and last duel with Voldemort was completely rewritten.

The movie was awesome, but of course it doesn't compare to the book. Then again, it's pretty impossible to make that movie match up to the book without prolonging the film into like, say, 8 different movies. I think a good enough job was done, regardless of the fact that Bellatrix Lestrange's death was extremely disappointing.

Another thing, Snape and Lily's relationship is one of my most favourite parts of the book. It was included in the film, but not as half as much as I'd like it to be. Now constantly comparing the book to the movie, I keep getting more and more disappointed. :(
I feel they only briefly touched upon the major, major parts of the Deathly Hallows book near towards the end of the film where I felt it was sort of, idk, rushed a little. The movies can tend to focus on such trivial matters. Take Half Blood Prince, for instance. Such a great book (seems as Snape is one of my favourite characters) but the movie was so completely horrendous I wanted to cry.

Have I not posted here yet? :P
Don't get me started on Bellatrix's death. D:<
My fucking favourite HP character deserves more than that rubbish they did there. Where was Voldy's reaction? Huh? In the book AT LEAST it says something like "Voldemort yelled out as the last of his loyal followers fell" and at least implied he felt something for her, whether it was only that he valued her loyalty or what we'd like to think. ;) But nothing. And the way she died was shit. Molly needed her spotlight scene but Bella's death shouldn't have been downplayed more than it already was...
Snape's memories... the most tear-wrenching scene I think I've ever watched... my god. My praise for that.
And yeah, ummm... where was Teddy? He wasn't even in the epilogue, let alone that scene where Lupin announces his birth and the picture of him.

Best one out of the eight of them. 3D was kept subtle, and it was very emotional. I agree that the death of Bella wasn't emphasised enough, and the Carrows and Ravenclaw tower was completely skipped, but other than that, great. My favourite character was easily McGonigal. Some of her lines were just so uncharacteristic of her. For example, when she said 'Boom!' it got a laugh, and when she said 'I've always wanted to use that spell!', with a look of glee on her face, I swear most of the cinema was doubled over in silent fits! OK, I exaggerate, but there was definitely a murmur of laughter among the audience.
