unsure if this belongs here, but I'm pretty sure it's the best place...anyways
I read this book series in 10th grade and enjoyed it, but now I've forgotten the name of it. I just want to know the name of the first book
the summary of the first book is something like this. I may be wrong on some parts. This is a poor job of summarizing, I know. I hope at least one person here will figure out the name.
This boy's (forgot his name -_-) father is a dragon in human skin. Centuries ago I think...Merlin transformed several dragons to a human to protect them from this dragon slayer. Oh yeah, King Arthur somehow fits in too...anyways the boy is unaware of this in the beginning but then discovers he could breathe fire...well I think he found that out by burning his mouth or something. Don't remember :/ He overhears his parents talking about the dragon situation and is really confused
At school he meets a new student, a girl. from what I've remember from reading the story, she always wears her backpack and never takes it off. Several students tried to figure out why and ...this adult, not sure of his name but he works at the school...is the descendant of the dragon slayer and is still determined to get rid of all dragons. Well he's suspicious and asks her why she won't take off her backpack
It ends up she has dragon wings.
it all winds up down to the slayer who eventually finds out that the girl and boy (that I mentioned earlier) are offspring of dragons-in-human-form.
Again, I know I did a poor job, but if anyone can someone figure it out....I'll appreciate it so much! I don't even remember the author name either. Sorry for doing a poor summary :/ probably a little inaccurate too :/
