Letter to a teacher

I'm emailing a letter to my teacher asking help about my anoerexia, since she was in treatment for it. My guidace counsler said I should, and spoke to her about me. How do I write a letter asking to meet with her? How should I start it. Thank you.

"Dear Mrs......, I have a personal issue that I believe you can relate to and help me with." I would probably start it along those lines I guess.

I'd have to say go direct about it. Say that the guidance counselor said she could probably provide some insight on helping you with the anorexia.

It went well. It was awkward, and a real cry fest, but it helped a little. It got me prepared for what's to come. So I'm happy I did it. :) Thank you guy! <3
