http://www.shockingtimes.co.uk/4-year-old-girl-threatened-with-arrest-for-picking-daffodils/
Picture the bucolic scene: 4 year Sienna Marengo and her sister India, 10, picking daffodils in Whitecliffe Park, Dorset. Picture too Councillor Peter Adams, driving past and seeing the girls at play. Picture him phoning the police. Picture the police, taking the call and sending an officer over. Picture that officer talking to the parents of the girls for fully 20 minutes and warning them that they could be arrested and face charges of criminal damage.
It seems unlikely doesn’t it? And yet that is what happened on this late-winter’s day.
As ever, there are two sides to the story. To the girls’ parents, this was a frightening, intimidating and heavy-handed encounter with officialdom, prying into the joyful playtime of their children. To the councillor, the picture was somewhat different:
“We are very proud of our parks and can’t have people ripping up public property. I am a reasonable person and would not have called the police if they were just picking two or three flowers, but this was totally disgraceful.”
It is certainly clear that the boundaries we might accept in terms of children’s behaviour vary wildly from person to person – but it is noticeable that the parents haven’t denied that the charge that their kids were taking more than 2 or 3 flowers. Either way, reports that the girl is too upset to return to the council-owned park in case her family “would be taken away by the police” shouldn’t fill anyone with gladness.
Seriously?

Which is why I propose each country has enough doughnut shops to keep their police forces busy.

Yeah you arrest that 4-year old! That Councillor is a big tough guy. He needs to call the police when he could have politely asked the parents to have their child stop picking that many flowers.
Tough-guy huh?

How'd you call that reasonable? She can barely count to potato! The police are just too fucking retarded to arrest a 4-year old who doesn't even understand how the judicial system works.

I hate it when people say things like fuck the po-lice. Not every country (or city/state/town) has an incompetent police force. Personally I think he was just doing his job. Yes maybe a little over the top but he had it reported to him by someone ( I think a politician or somthin) and so he had to do something. Its not like hes cuffing the children or flailing a gun or pepper spray at them. I think that one; the parents are over reacting, two; the politician needs to grow up, three; the people on this forum need to realise that the media does inflate stories to make them sound worse than they are.

Seriously, our Gendamerie is generally worse than what these pictures of police brutality have to say.

I don't know why, but htis reminds me of the time my friends and I got kicked out of Claire's because "anybody 18 and under can not be in this are until 3:30 pm, an dis from (place I live)" we got kicked out by a security guard....
...both are equally stupid....
I mean, they're 4 years old! It's not like they were 30 robbing a store full of cash... I remember being 4 and I loved picking up flowers, it's just what a lot of four year olds do...

How sad. The police can't find any REAL criminals to go after, so they reduce to stuff like this.

wow. the police are doing so much for us. that 4 year old girl was such a threat to society. if a bunch of teens online think this is stupid, than it is kinda scary to know that the people who are suppost to be protecting us think it nessisary to do something like this.

Yeah, maybe we should all start robbing banks and killing eachother to give the police more to do...
Some police officers are absolutely stupid. I understand not wanting the kids to pick the flowers, but threatening them? Couldn't he have just said "Hey, little girls, can yall go pick flowers over that way pweeze?"

Unfortunately, police all over the world aren't allowed to use common sense any more. Policies and procedures. The UK police forces are getting a lot worse by the day.
The UK legal system, and relevant legislation, requires 'the police' to attend and investigate any allegation of a common law offence, including young children accused of picking flowers in a park ergo possibly causing criminal damage. Fucking stupid but the way it happens these days.

Wow, They cant find some actual criminals so they go around threatening little girls. They must have alot of spare time on their hands.
