First of all the bump limit is 2 months not one. Secondly a bump is when you post in an old thread. The reason the rule is in place is so that new posts that need to be seen are seen a replied to. That way there aren't heaps of threads dated back to 04 with posts. make sense?
Double posting isn't allowed because you not only get +1 extra worthless post, but the edit button is in place for the exact reason to add things to your original post. Keeping the thread nice and neat.
It's definitely something you need to remember because this ain't Facebook. We have a different way of doing shit here.

It does move it to the top that's why they call it a bump because when you post on it and it's old, then it brings it up to the top. So we make sure to avoid that with a reasonable limit. you can edit your posts as many times as you'd like. Just as long as when if a mod edits your post(s)
and it has something along the lines of :
[Don't double post~Goose]
If you delete that out or add the previous information back in, then you will be infracted.
You have to get used to different ways on different sites. It is what it is.
